# Fees

<Info>
  **Note:** Trading fees on Outcome are currently set to zero while HIP-4 is in testing. This page describes the fee structure that will apply after testing concludes.
</Info>

### Trading fees

Trading on Outcome uses Hyperliquid's protocol-wide fee schedule. Fees depend on whether your order is a maker (rests on the book before being filled) or a taker (fills immediately against an existing order). See Hyperliquid's [fees page](https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/trading/fees) for current rates.

### Discounts

Multiple discounts can apply:

* **Tier-based.** Your rate decreases as your trailing 14-day volume across all Hyperliquid products grows.
* **HYPE staking.** Linking a HYPE stake further reduces your rate.
* **Referral discount.** If you activated Outcome's referral code (see [Trading fee discount](04e-referral-discount.md)), you receive an additional 4% discount on taker fees for your first \$25 million of trading volume across all Hyperliquid products. After \$25M, the referral discount no longer applies, though other discounts continue.

### Builder code fee

Outcome's builder code charges a fee on trades placed through [outcome.xyz](http://outcome.xyz). This fee goes to Outcome and supports the platform.

The builder code fee is currently set to **zero**. This may change in the future. See [Builder code](04g-builder-code.md) for details.

### Settlement fee

When a market resolves and your position settles, a settlement fee is deducted from the payout. The exact fee is shown in the market spec.

### Bridging fees

Depositing USDC uses Circle's CCTP, and depositing another asset routes through Across, which charges a bridge fee that varies by source chain and asset. Either way, the cost is shown in the deposit interface before you confirm.

Withdrawing USDC also uses CCTP, with network costs shown before you confirm. Withdrawing to fiat is powered by [Meld](https://meld.io/), whose fees depend on the payment method and region. See [Funding your account](04b-funding-your-account.md) and [Withdrawing funds](04f-withdrawing-funds.md) for details.
