Outcome resolves real world event markets against authoritative official sources, targeting resolution within 4 hours of official settlement at mainnet rollout. Markets are chosen by Outcome’s own selection algorithm, capped at 100 live markets at a time and 500 new markets per day. Every market’s rules come from a fixed template defined on Hyperliquid, and Outcome only fills in the inputs.

Quick reference

How does Outcome resolve markets?

Outcome runs a proprietary resolution system, built together with established oracle and resolution partners. Each market names an official source in its template, and that source is what the market settles against. Full mechanics and the partners involved will be shared through Outcome’s official channels. If the official source has not published a result, independent reputable reporting can be used. Once a market resolves, later appeals, corrections or reversals do not change the outcome.

How fast are markets resolved?

At mainnet rollout, Outcome aims to resolve real world event markets within 4 hours of official settlement. The target is to bring that down to seconds over time.

How does Outcome choose which markets to deploy?

Outcome uses its own market selection algorithm to decide which games go live. Current limits are 100 markets live at any given time and 500 new markets per day. That means Outcome will not deploy every market you want, or every market Outcome wants. These limits expand over time.

When do markets go live?

  • Single contests: the algorithm signals roughly 24 hours before the event starts
  • Props and tournaments: roughly weeks before the event starts

How many participants does a prop or tournament market list?

Props and tournaments launch with the top six prospects at the time of deployment. If an unexpected prospect rises after that, Outcome adds them as a new pick.

Can I request a market?

Yes. If there is a market or category Outcome has not deployed yet, recommend it in the Outcome Discord.

What are market templates?

A template is the rulebook for a market. It defines what the market covers, what each outcome means, and exactly how the market settles in every edge case, including postponements, walkovers, cancellations and missed deadlines. Every template is defined on the Hyperliquid side. Outcome only controls the inputs marked in { }, such as the participants, the competition and the official source. Market titles are generated from those same inputs, though on Outcome’s frontend the titles may be adjusted slightly so they read more easily. These are all the current templates for real world events.

sportsContestWinner

What it covers: a two-sided market on a single contest, one participant against the other, with no draw side. Draws, no contests and unresolved outcomes pay $0.50 to both sides. Example event: Real Madrid vs Barcelona in La Liga. One side for Real Madrid (RMA), one side for Barcelona (BAR). Template:

sportsTournamentWinner

What it covers: the outright winner of a whole tournament. One named outcome per listed participant, plus a No winner fallback. Exactly one outcome resolves Yes. A participant resolves No the moment winning becomes impossible, so eliminated participants settle early. Example event: winner of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League. One outcome per listed club, plus the fallback. Template:

sportsContestResult

What it covers: a three-way market on a single contest, participant A, Draw, or participant B. Used where a draw is a real result rather than an edge case. Example event: Arsenal vs Liverpool in the Premier League. Outcomes are Arsenal, Draw, Liverpool. Template:

sportsScalarMarket

Not in use initially. This template exists but Outcome is not deploying it at launch. It is listed here for completeness. What it covers: Over/Under on an officially reported statistic. The payout is not binary. It scales linearly between the low and high bounds, so a final value in the middle of the range splits the payout between the two sides. Example event: total combined points in Lakers vs Celtics, with a range of 210 to 240. A final of 225 pays Over $0.50 and Under $0.50. A final of 240 or higher pays Over $1. Template:

policyRateDecision

What it covers: a three-way market on a scheduled policy rate decision, No change, Decrease, or Increase. Measured against the value in effect immediately before the decision. Rate moves made outside the scheduled decision are ignored. Example event: the December 2026 FOMC decision on the federal funds target range. Outcomes are No change, Decrease, Increase. Template:
